Admiral's Wimbledon Debut - Sho Shimabukuro

We've got history with Wimbledon football club but since 1914 our logo has never been seen on the famous grass courts of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club. This all changed in 2023 with Japanese player Sho Shimabukuro wearing the famous Admiral brand in the first round of Wimbledon.

Sho Shimabukuro was seen as an outsider to qualify for the 136th edition of the London Grand Slam. The young Japanese challenger beat 3 aspiring pros to reach the tournament including a Team GB player and a US player in the top 100. The first round match-up was a step too far, coming up against 21st seed Grigor Dimitrov, losing in three sets to the Bulgarian. Wimbledon in 2023 is another milestone in the Admiral story and hopefully we'll be back on the tennis courts at SW19 in the future.
