Admiral West Ham United Retro Range: The Return of a Classic

The West Ham United kit worn between 1976 and 1980 is one of those rare designs, remembered for its iconic look and for the moments that cemented its place in Hammers history.

In 1976, despite competing in the Second Division, West Ham was packed with quality players. Club captain Billy Bonds embodied determination, while Trevor Brooking's elegance in midfield made him one of football's finest talents. Alongside players such as Frank Lampard Sr. and Phil Parkes, the foundations were in place for one of the club's greatest achievements.

The defining moment came on 10 May 1980 at Wembley.

Facing First Division Arsenal in the FA Cup Final, West Ham entered the match as underdogs. Against the odds, West Ham lifted the FA Cup, it remains one of the greatest days in the club's history, and forever links this Admiral shirt with one of football's most memorable cup final victories.

That shirt captured everything that made the late 1970s football kits so distinctive. The claret and blue colour palette with a bold contrast striping across the V-neck collar, chest and sleeves create a look that remains instantly recognisable today. Finished with embroidered Admiral branding and the West Ham United crest, every detail has been recreated to honour the original.
