A Fusion of Art, Culture and Football.

Admiral and the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) have released an exciting new collection of team kits, celebrating the rich heritage and vibrant culture of Jamaican football. Designed by local artist Dwayne Jureidini, the jerseys embody the spirit of each club, seamlessly blending history, culture, and identity in a distinctly Jamaican way.

Admiral’s “What Makes Champions… What Makes The Jersey” initiative goes beyond a simple kit launch. It is a campaign designed to redefine the league’s visual identity. The project has created bespoke jerseys for six JPL clubs, each of which has previously secured a league title. This partnership marks a pivotal moment in the league’s development, merging sport, art, and culture into one visually captivating collection.

The highly anticipated kits were first showcased at Rum Fest on 18 July, where a high-energy fashion show revealed the designs to an eager public. Set against a backdrop of music, football, and culture, the event allowed festival-goers to see the new jerseys on the big screen, highlighting the collaboration between Admiral and the JPL, and offering a fresh perspective on Jamaican football.

Every phase of this project—design, production, and promotion—has been driven by local talent, ensuring an authentic Jamaican experience. From the models to the photographers, videographers, and the Locker Room team, every aspect has been crafted by Jamaicans for Jamaicans, reflecting the nation's pride and passion for the sport.

The Jamaica Premier League is the Caribbean's premier football competition, boasting a rich history and intense rivalries. With 14 competitive clubs, it holds the distinction of being ranked 10th in CONCACAF and continues to grow in prominence. Clubs like Cavalier F.C., the current champions, as well as former title holders such as Mount Pleasant F.A., Portmore United F.C., and Harbour View F.C., have etched their names into the annals of Jamaican football. The new kits pay homage to these clubs' triumphs and the competitive spirit that defines the JPL.

Following their debut at Rum Fest, the kits will be presented on the global stage, strengthening ties with the Jamaican diaspora and the supporters who follow these clubs worldwide. The kits will appear at various international events, helping expand the reach of Jamaican football.

Beyond the kits themselves, Admiral, in partnership with the JPL and league sponsor Wray & Nephew, is committed to community engagement. Through various initiatives, the collaboration aims to foster sportsmanship, support local businesses, and celebrate the dynamic culture of Jamaican football. Together, Admiral and the JPL continue to inspire pride and unity, both on the pitch and across Jamaica and the world.
